Janes & The Dust

So the holidays are over and you were wondering what Janes and The Dust got you for Christmas... how about some new jams?  Sounds good to us.  We've been working on some new tunes, some old favorite and everything in between.  With the creation of the new studio (pics to come) the band has been busy getting a good practice setup going and working on our first demo album.  We have a show at Sonny's, opening for Steve's other band the Chixie Dicks, a new venue that we are totally psyched to play.  So what do Dust Mites have to look forward to?   2 shows in Feb, an upcoming Demo release and J&D playing at some downtown bars in the near future.  Beaut.

        Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday December 5th 2009 to the Annual Jerseys Charity Christmas Jam. As usual the fans were fantastic and really went the extra mile cheering for us! A great time was had by all and a lot of money and toys were raised for charity. See you all at the next show in January.

Jon celebrated his birthday in style with a custom Janes and the Dust drum set cake made by Jamie.  He was genuinely surprised!

     After close to a 6 month break, Janes and the Dust are about to take the stage for the first time since the July 4th weekend. Not only are we taking the stage for the first time in a while, we are also announcing an official new member Steve Larocque (Matt and Jon's Dad) who will be playing lead guitar. We hope to see you at our next show, which is a Jerseys charity Jam on December 5th, 2009 @ 7pm. You are guaranteed to be wowed by some new Janes and the Dust original tracks. Hope to see you all there!!

Just a quick news flash that it has been confirmed that Janes and The Dust will be performing at Jersey's the last saturday of every month at a minimum. It looks like their next show will be Jan.24/09, With the next show being  Feb.7/09. Stay tuned for updates for future times and dates. Address below:

Jerseys Sports Bar

3700 Downpatrick Road - Ottawa, Ontario

          For those who missed it, Janes & The Dust rocked in the new year @ Jerseys Sports Bar! The band played two sets including a marathon hour and fifteen minute set to bring in 2009 and could barely get away from the stage with the crowd cheering them to several encores! Thanks to all of the fans who showed up braving sub thirty degree temperatures to come and show their support! Apparently someone loves the dust so much they were willing to sacrifice a box of lucky charms to show their undying love for Tom! See you at the next show!

Last night Janes & the Dust played their first show at Jersey's. They got up after Maria Hawkins which was a tough act to follow. With the dance floor virtually empty for most of the night, it was a different story when they hit the stage. After performing the initial set list to the crowd's intense liking, they were cheered to three encore songs! Set list below.
